ingredients

1  pound skin-on salmon fillets

1/2  teaspoon salt

1/2  teaspoon black pepper

2  tablespoons olive oil

2  tablespoons teriyaki sauce

1  tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

preparation

step 1.

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

step 2.

Sprinkle the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.

step 3.

In a 12-inch cast-iron skillet or oven-proof skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Place salmon fillets skin side up into skillet, cook 2 minutes.

step 4.

Turn fillets skin side down, cook, 2 minutes more.

step 5.

Turn over fillets again to return to skin side up and brush with teriyaki sauce.

step 6.

Bake 10-15 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the fillet reads 145°F.

step 7.

Remove from oven, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
